Make an impact with visuals!

How nice that you are interested in our company!

This page for open applications is there so that you can indicate that you are interested in a job at Flatland. As soon as we have a suitable vacancy available, we will contact you and other candidates. That can take six months to a year.

If you are looking for a job immediately and there is no suitable vacancy at the moment,
then unfortunately we cannot help you.

We will tell you later what we hope you can already do, but we thought it would be a good start with why your future colleagues chose Flatland.

These were the three main reasons for us, in no particular order:

1. Visual thinking is the skill of the future!

Our team is growing and we have the ambition to further strengthen our position as an international visual consultancy. Visuals are the means by which we at Flatland bring about change. We facilitate inspiring sessions in which we use co-creation to allow a group of people to form a shared image. Drawings and other visual methods ensure that different perspectives come into their own instead of being an obstacle. This is how we build real cooperation and support.

2. We make a positive impact!

In the strategy and activation projects in which we work, we make a major impact with our clients. A visual metaphor creates a lively conversation, the discussions become sharper, and the images we create spread like wildfire. It remains special to see how you can increase people's insight with a sharp mind, a marker and a whiteboard. But it doesn't stop there! We challenge the organizations we work with to make an impact with us on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the United Nations.

Our mission: Drawing a Better World Together!

3. Become part of a varied and inspiring team!

Although we come from diverse backgrounds such as business administration, law, industrial design, art school, psychology, we all have visual thinking in our DNA.

The atmosphere is inspiring and collegial, with a lot of attention for development and a healthy work-life balance. We regularly have international team assignments, team trips and fun team outings.

That is of course a bit different than usual at the moment, but we are also creative in this!

Who are we looking for?

Flatland is a place for diverse talents, united by a passion for visualization and an interest in how large organizations work.

  • You have a passion for helping people in large organizations formulate a clear vision for the future and then help them put it into practice.
  • You are a team player who works together with a varied team of designers, draftsmen, facilitators and strategists. You think 'outside your box' and actively engage in conversation when there are tensions.
  • You enjoy working on complex challenges and come up with creative solutions that take into account the wishes of the client and a broad group of stakeholders.
  • You don't settle for 'good enough'. Together with your colleagues, you are committed to creating even more impact with our clients and to grow as a team in winning and executing beautiful, impactful assignments.
  • You can join the world of our clients: managers in all kinds of organizations at home and abroad. An excellent command of Dutch (C1 or above) and a good command of English are a requirement for this.
  • You are willing to work four days a week or more (0.8 fte).

Last but not least. Within Flatland everyone is responsible for his or her own development. We encourage personal development and expect each of us to continue to develop.

We encourage you to push your limits and grow together with the team.

That requires guts, being open to feedback and insight into your performance.

..and you get 10% of your time to invest in yourself, own inspiring projects and activities.

And we also offer:

  • Good coffee, regular team lunches, drinks and team outings.
  • Flexibility to work remote when the tasks allow it.
  • Competitive compensation - including a pension compensation, and training budget of €3000,- annually.

You are still there? Great!

We're not a big fan of CVs in which someone tells us which secondary school he/she attended and which supermarket used to work at in high school.
We prefer an application in which you briefly explain who you are and why you are perfect for this job - and if a certain study or employer is relevant for that, we will probably read it there.

We would really like to see a portfolio of your work, cases or projects. Make it available via a link in the registration process (e.g. via Dropbox or Google Drive).

In addition, we hope to gain insight into your motivation.
